UNPAK ― Pakuan University (Unpak) is again holding the 2025 National Defense Awareness Development (PKBN) activity which will last for three days, from 9–11 September 2025.

This activity was attended by 1,238 new students (Faculty of Law: 162 participants, Faculty of Economics: 412 participants, FKIP: 125 participants, FISIB: 190 participants, Faculty of Engineering: 140 participants, FMIPA: 156 participants, Vocational: 53 participants, by presenting speakers from various scientific fields and strategic institutions related to national defense.

The opening ceremony was led by Unpak Rector, Prof. Dr. Didik Notosudjono . PKBN is a hallmark of Unpak and a tradition that continues to be preserved as part of efforts to instill and strengthen national defense awareness among the younger generation, especially students.

“Building the Character of Pakuan University Students Based on Pancasila Values ​​and Local Wisdom Values ​​(Silih Asih, Silih Asah, and Silih Asuh) as well as Technological Literacy Towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Prof. Didik.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the 2025 PKBN Committee who is also the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Eri Sarimanah, in his report stated that PKBN not only emphasizes physical aspects, but also mental and spiritual aspects.

“National defense awareness isn’t just about physical readiness, but also mental and spiritual. This activity is expected to deepen understanding of the importance of national defense and foster a deeper sense of love for one’s country,” he explained.

On the last day of the activity, a parade of Student Activity Units (UKM) and student institutions will be held, which will be an introduction event as well as a means for new students to get to know the student organizations at Unpak better.

PKBN is an important momentum to strengthen national unity and integrity, and is able to make a real contribution to realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
