Pakuan University – Ferry Budianto, representing the Central Library of Pakuan University, successfully won third place in the 80th Indonesian Independence Day poster competition held at Pakuan University. In his work, Ferry carried the theme “Happy Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, August 17, 1945 – August 17, 2025”, combining national symbols with the identity of the university.

According to Ferry, the spirit of independence should not only be celebrated annually, but also embodied in the field of education. “Pakuan University is part of the nation’s journey, educating future generations who love their homeland,” he stated.

Ferry’s poster features red and white as symbols of nationalism, green and yellow to represent the identity of Pakuan University, and bold typography for the word “INDONESIA.” The composition of the flag, students, and university buildings is carefully balanced, making the message of independence easier to grasp. In addition to the Independence Day greeting, the poster also incorporates the values of Silih Asih, Silih Asah, Silih Asuh and includes information on Pakuan University’s new student admissions.

A strong sense of pride also comes from the Central Library of Pakuan University. Wildan Fauzi Mubarock, speaking on behalf of the entire library team, expressed his highest appreciation for this achievement. “We are proud that Ferry Budianto has achieved recognition at the university level. His work is not only visually striking but also rich in meaning—conveying the spirit of independence and the vital role of education. This accomplishment inspires us at the Central Library to keep creating and contributing to the university,” he said.

Ferry concluded his statement with a hopeful message: “Through this poster, I want to emphasize that independence is not just a symbol—it must be filled with education, creativity, and service to the nation. Pakuan University is a place that shapes excellent, independent, and strong-charactered individuals who are ready to continue the struggle.”
