Solo, June 20, 2025 — The Central Library of Pakuan University (Unpak) took part in the 2nd Konferensi Perpustakaan Hijau Indonesia (KPHI) and the 2nd National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Central Executive Board of the Alliance of Environment-Based University Libraries (DPP APPEl Hijau Indonesia). The event was held from June 17–20, 2025, at Hotel Ibis Styles Solo, Central Java.

Carrying the theme “Strengthening Green Libraries in Realizing Sustainable Campuses,” the conference served as a strategic platform for academic library leaders to engage in discussions, share experiences, and formulate concrete steps to support sustainable development through literacy and environmentally friendly library practices.

The participation of the Central Library of Pakuan University in this national forum reflects the institution’s strong commitment to developing libraries that function not only as centers for information and education, but also as active agents in environmental preservation.

During the conference, participants received insights from expert speakers covering various topics, including sustainable development policies in higher education, implementation of green library practices, and the library’s role in promoting environmental education among the academic community.

In addition to the conference, the 2nd Rakernas of DPP APPEl Hijau Indonesia served as a significant moment to evaluate the organization’s programs and outline future strategic plans. Delegates from Pakuan University’s Central Library were actively involved in shaping policy directions and fostering national synergy among APPEl Hijau Indonesia members.

Through this participation, the Central Library of Pakuan University is expected to be better equipped to develop sustainable green library programs while expanding its network and collaboration with other universities in Indonesia that share the same vision.
